GOSPEL  REFLECTION

The story in today’s gospel reminds us of how personal prejudices and agendas can block us from listening to the content of what another person has to say, no matter how relevant or wise it is.

 

TUESDAY  CLUB

A bus will run to the Bru Boru show of traditional music, song and dance on Thurs 19th July. The bus will leave the church car park at 8pm. Cost €20.

All interested should give their names to Julie Waslsh as soon as possible.

 

COMMUNITY  COUNCIL

Plans are well under way for Emly Community Council’s upcoming Variety Show on Sunday, July 15th @ 8pm in Halla Naomh Ailbe (Adm. €5.00). A top-quality show is guaranteed, with a gallery of local and invited artists taking the stage.

EMLY  TENNIS  CLUB

All outstanding games in Club League must be played off by 19th July.  Semi Finals and Finals will take place on 21st and 22nd July, 2012.

Any unplayed games will be excluded in the Semi Finals and Finals.

Membership is due to be paid immediately.  Please note persons participating in tournaments and leagues must have their membership paid up to date.

It is intended to do an Inter-firm Competition shortly.   All interested please inform Stephen McInerney or Carol O’Brien.

 

 

KNOCKCARRON

Scarteen hunt and Knockarron community BBQ 2012 on the 21st of July 8pm till late in Knockarron community centre. There will be hog roast, kids entertainment, face painting and bouncy castle. Live music by Tommy O’Neill. Admission €10. All are welcome.

MOUNT  SION – Garden Fete

The Annual Mount Sion (Tipperary Town) Garden Fete takes place on Sun July 15th from 2-5pm. If you have unused items or unwanted gifts,  please donate them to Mount Sion for the Fete. No clothing accepted.  The items you wish to donate should be new or almost new. Books, plants and shrubs, home baking and garden produce will be accepted. Enq: 062-52199.
CANON  HAYES 10K
The Annual Canon Hayes 10k takes place on Fri July 13th at 7pm. All are welcome to participate. It is open to walkers, joggers or runners of all ages so please come out in support of the charity this year, which is the Moorehaven Centre, Tipperary. The Moorehaven Centre is a centre for adults with a mild to moderate range of intellectual disability. Pick up a sponsorship card at the Canon Hayes Centre or the Moorehaven Centre.
