Offertory  Collection  &  Planned  Giving

Sincere thanks to all parishioners who maintained strong support of the Offertory Envelope Collection during 2017. These contributions have seen the Church Repair Fund continue to grow, enabling us to paint & light the church inside & clean the front.

 

Boxes of envelopes for the coming year have been distributed recently. Anyone new to the parish or needing an extra box, please contact Fr. Moloney.

 

Major thanks to all who contributed so generously through the Parish Funds – Planned Giving – envelopes. These donations greatly assisted the parish in meeting its expenses and financial obligations. A full financial report will be given at the end of January.     Again, THANK  YOU.

 

New  Year  Party

Emly Parish in conjunction with Emly Tidy Towns will host a New Year Party in the Parish Hall, Emly on next Sunday 7th January 2018.  Mass in the Hall at 1.00pm, followed  by a four course meal and entertainment.  Tickets [€20] available at The Post Office, Callanan’s Shop or from Patsy Hennessy.

 

Emly Comhaltas

Comhaltas Emly will hold a 5k walk on Sunday the 14th January at 12.00 noon, starting at the church car park. All support greatly appreciated.

 

135th  Anniversary

Saturday next, Feast of the Epiphany, will mark the 135th anniversary of the first celebration of  Mass in our Parish Church on  6th January 1883. Canon Maurice Power, P.P., was celebrant.  Work on the church was not fully finished but the essentials were in place.  It has served many generations since then.
