My Memory Bank

My mind is like a bank. In its vaults it stores unique sights and sound, events and feelings from the past:

Christmas Eve, the soft silence of Santa’s visit;                         the wonder of kneeling at the Crib;

First Communion, Confirmation, and who came;

My first day at school, the first goal I scored, the first tune I learned; the smell of grandma’s kitchen; the taste of seaside fish and chips.

Lord God, your mind is limitless.

May my memories bring me joy and wisdom.

May I live this day in such a way that it will become a golden treasure ever to be cherished.
