This Sunday’s feast sees Jesus receiving his mission from his Father. The Saviour who came now brings the Good News and tells of salvation. We recall our baptism and the mission and call which we too have received.

Cleaning of the church will take place on Tuesday morning next at 10.15am.

ST.  AILBE’S  LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB

A Coffee Morning, Cake Sale and raffle will be held in Duhig House on Sun (9th Jan) after 11am Mass. All support will be appreciated.


EMLY  BORD  NA NOG

Emly Bord Na Nog in conjunction with Emly Ladies Football Club will hold a presentation night at the Golden Thatch on Saturday 15th January at 8.00 pm for all its players. (Please note change from the 14th Jan.)

THANKS

As we move on from the Christmas season thanks to all who prepared, cleaned and decorated the church, erected the crib and the Christmas tree; all who took part in the Christmas liturgy and created a suitable atmosphere for the celebration of the birth of Christ.

Thanks also to all who contributed to our Envelope Collection throughout the year. This Envelope Collection in Emly parish allows parishioners to contribute to the parish at a time and in a way that is suitable for them. Envelopes are always available in the church.


C.J. KICKHAM  BAND – In Aid of Hospice

An afternoon of music by the C.J. Kickham Band and local artists in aid of the Hospice Movement will take place in Byrne’s Tavern on Sun 16th Jan from 3 to 5pm. Adm: €10.
