LOUGH  DERG  PILGRIMAGE

Cashel & Emly Diocesan Three Day Pilgrimage

27th – 29th June.  Contact Fr Martin Murphy 086 3868877God’s healing grace is experienced on Lough Derg in an intensity seldom encountered elsewhere; through spiritual exercise, companionship of fellow pilgrims and the sheer holiness of the place.

 

REMEMBRANCE  SERVICE

A Remembrance Service will be held in St Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle, Limerick on Sunday 15th June at 3pm. This service will bring families together in support and hope to remember their loved one who has died at University Hospital Limerick, in the previous year up to the end of April 2014. You and your family are most welcome to attend. If you wish, please bring along a photo or symbol of your loved one to place in the Remembrance Area

EMLY COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Thanks to all who gave so generously to the recent church gate collection.  Over €700 was raised.

COFFEE  MORNING in aid of Cheshire Home

A Coffee Morning  in aid of Cheshire Homes, Waterford will be held in Donie’s Bar, Emly after

Mass on Sun 8th June. A parishioner, John Murphy, is resident there.

 

PARISH RENEWAL

Parish renewal meeting Monday 9th June at 8pm.

 

EMLY CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

Annual Mass for Circle of Friends I.C.A past and present members on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm.  Meeting in Byrnes Tavern afterwards all welcome.  To new members a big Cead Mile Failte.

 

THE COLLECTIONS

The offertory collection for the week of the 25th of May was €335.  The offertory collection for last weekend with the new envelope system was €695.  The planned giving collection was €955.  Sincere thanks to all for your contribution towards the upkeep of your parish.

 

BORD NA NOG

Results:U14 B football final Emly/Treacys 7-09     2-07 Rockewll/Rosegreen.  Congratulations to Aidan O’Heaney on playing Tipperary Hurling Primary Games.  Thanks to all who supported our cake sale.  U10&U12 travelled to Semple stadium last Sunday for Tipperary Vs Limerick match which was enjoyed by all.

 

TIDY TOWNS

May lotto winners: Sharon Cunnigham, Mike Bourke(Jnr),Mary Heffernan, Jimmy O’Dea and Denis Heffernan.  A midsummer party in Byrne’s on Sat 14th June at 9.30.  All welcome.  Please be aware of litter as it is a major factor in the competition.
