GOSPEL  REFLECTION

Mary and Peter, and the other disciple, came and discovered that the tomb was empty. In this text no explanation is given. They are left in a state of bewilderment ‘for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.’

Yet in spite of the lack of explanation, the beloved disciple ‘saw and believed’.

EMLY  TENNIS  CLUB

Children’s Easter Tennis Camp takes place from Tues, 10th to Fri, 13th April, from 2.00  – 5.00 p.m. each day.  Cost is €25 per child, €40 for two children and €50 for three or more children.  Please note children participating in the Tennis Camp must be members for insurance purposes.  Membership is now due €50 for family, €30 for individual and €10 for child/student.

The Adult Tennis Tournament is now nearing completion.  The Semi Finals will be held on Friday, 13th April, 2012 and the Finals will take place on Saturday, 14th April, 2012.  The Presentations will take place on Saturday night in the Golden Thatch where entertainment will also be provided.  Everybody invited to attend.

A Litter Pick on Wed 11th April 6.30pm. Meeting at church carpark. Volunteers needed.

 

COMMUNITY  COUNCIL – Emly 10K

Meeting next Tuesday night(10 April) at 8..30pm in the Parish Hall to continue preparations for the upcoming 10K Road-race / know your Parish walk, to be held on Sunday April 15th .Parishioners are invited to get involved on the day by participating in the event or helping with stewarding and provision of refreshments at the post race gathering.

 

EMLY  GAA  CLUB

Don’t forget the scrap metal collection on Fri/Sat April 13th/14th. The Collection will be from 9.00 to 5.00 both days in Thatch Car Park. Emly/Treacys beat  Knockvilla Kickhams in West Minor B Football. The Final Score was 3-20 to 1-13. Emly/Treacys play Galtee Rovers in West Minor B Football next Wed in Emly at 6.45
