GOSPEL  REFLECTION

The story of this Sunday’s gospel illustrates the power of faith. The experience of Peter gives encouragement to us when we waver in our trust and belief in God. In his doubt and fear Jesus reached out to him. The story ends with a profession of faith in Jesus as the Son of God.

THE  12  STEP  PROGRAMME

In a weekly series of Eucharist, prayer, teachings, testimonies music and song the 12 Step Programme helps us deal with Addiction, Anger, unforgiveness, fear, lust, eating disorders, dependency. Starting Mon 8th Aug at 8pm in Cappawhite Community Centre.

 

TIDY  TOWN

Emly tidy town is holding a Grand Raffle. Committee members will be calling to houses in the parish selling tickets.

 

 

 

 

EMLY  GAA  CLUB

Results & Fixtures

Junior A Hurling Championship:

Emly defeated Lattin on a scoreline of 16 points to 14 to qualify for the semi final of this years west championship. For full match report or upcoming fixtures visit our website www.emlygaa.com

 

Junior B Football: Emly will play Rosegreen this Sunday August 7th @ 12:30pm in STP in the first round of the Junior B Football Championship.

 

Summer Camp: A Fitkids Active Fun Summer Camp will take place in Emly GAA Field from Tuesday August 16th to Friday August 19th, 10am-2pm daily. Register online @ www.fitkids.ie or contact David Byrne or Pat Buckley. Limited places remaining.

 

ST AILBES LADIES  FOOTBALL

A club trip will take place for U12/U14/U16 players to the UL Activity centre in Killaloe on Saturday August 20th. Anyone who has yet to confirm their interest in going should contact Mary McGrath before Monday August 8th.

 

CHERNOBYL  CHILDREN’S  PROJECT

A churchgate collection  will be held on Aug 13th/14th in aid of the Chernobyl Children’s Project. Your support would be appreciated to help fund the Christmas visits of the children.
