Canon  Power  Ledger

Canon Maurice Power was much more than an erector of parish buildings. In 1883, while work on the church was still in progress, he brought the Redemptorists from Limerick to conduct a 3-week

Parish Mission. The Ledger page on display this week shows the preparations and their costs.

 Vision  for  2019

O Lord our God, source of Wisdom,                                                            extend our vision, our clearness of sight.                                 Open our eyes to see beyond the obvious,                                           to perceive that this is your world,                                                      that you are in it, pervade it, and enfold it.

Here in this world, we encounter you,                                            here you come to us, here we meet you.                               Enable us to see that we dwell in you,                                             that you are with us always.

Here in this world, with its mixture                                                                      of miracle and misery,                                                                                of danger

and delight,                                                                      you offer us your grace                                                                                    and glimpses of your greatness.

Amen.
