Two  Winners,  No  Losers

Another pearl of wisdom from Pope Francis:

“The pleasure of belonging to another person leads to seeing life as a common project, putting the other person’s happiness ahead of my own.

As love matures, it also learns to ‘negotiate’. Far from anything calculating, this is an exercise in mutual love, of give and take, for the good of the family.

At each new stage of married life, there is a need to sit down and renegotiate agreements, so that there will be no winners and losers, but rather two winners.

In the home, each spouse shares responsibility for the family; yet each home is unique and each marriage will find an arrangement that works best.”

The Joy of Love, Pope Francis

Fr.  Walter  McNamara

We welcome Fr. McNamara to speak at Masses this weekend. He is a Spiritan (‘Holy Ghost’) missionary priest. As well as sharing something of his own missionary experience he will also seek our financial support for the Spiritans’ missions. Please be as generous as possible. The Irish Church continues to spread the Good News of Jesus in the many corners of the world.
