Our Lady invites you – men and women – to “Come and See” what is involved, as we seek to start a new Legion of Mary group in Emly parish. This world-wide organization, founded by Irishman Frank Duff,

helps lay men and women to grow closer in spirit to Jesus and to Mary,  and to pass on Jesus’ love and Mary’s love to others in practical and gentle ways.

Information Night: Thurs 7th June, 8pm,  Duhig Hse.

Responses  to  Referendum

Deep sadness has been the emotion felt by many who voted ‘No’. Now and in the future, all who uphold the ‘human right to life’ of unborn babies must :                                                                                        a) continue to pray for the safety of unborn babies;                                                 b) re-double their efforts to reach out to troubled    .  .   expectant parents;                                                                                           c) guide such parents towards life-giving solutions;

  1. d) live by a Jesus-inspired respect for human life.

Receive  from  the  Chalice

Catholics are free and welcome to receive Holy Communion from the Chalice as well as the Host.

Christ is truly present under each species – Bread and Wine – that are his Body and Blood,  his total person and presence.

Receiving both the Host and the Chalice matches the invitation that Jesus spoke at the Last Supper and that He speaks to us again today in the Gospel.

When you receive from the Chalice, please use the little cloth provided to clean the  rim  of the chalice at the point from which you received.
