Human  Harvesters

Christ said: “The harvest is great, but the labourers are few.”  So we need:

More doers, fewer talkers.

More “it can be done”, fewer “it can’t.”

More to inspire others with confidence,

fewer to throw cold water on everything.

More to point out what is right and good,

fewer to keep harping on what is wrong.

More to light a candle,

fewer to curse the darkness.

Can I become one of those labourers?

Cemetery  Mass

The annual Emly Cemetery Mass will be celebrated on the coming Wednesday, 6th July, at 7.30pm. {If the weather is inclement, Mass will be in the parish church.} All who have family, relatives or friends buried in Emly cemetery are invited to attend. Parishioners are asked to inform their relatives & friends who live outside the parish: they are most welcome.

This is a lovely occasion to pray for those who were important to us in life and who are now gone ahead of us. The links of love are alive.

Memorial candles will be on sale for those who wish to place them at family graves.

After Mass, the pastoral council will provide light refreshments at Duhig House. A chance to sit and chat with friends, with a cuppa in hand.

I see the Church as a field hospital after battle. It is useless to ask a seriously injured person about the level of his/her blood sugars! You have to heal the wounds. Then we can talk about everything else. Heal the wounds…heal the wounds… And you have to start from the ground up.”  Pope  Francis
