GOSPEL  REFLECTION

Short-term loss is sometimes necessary for long-term gain. Jesus was teaching his followers that the path of discipleship would involve pain and suffering. Peter would have none of it.

Jesus promised that those who suffer for the kingdom would be rewarded.

Please come along and join us to celebrat heritage week and have some fun.  Judging is still ongoing.  Please be aware of litter.  We would also like people to please continue watering flower beds and tubs.  Commitee meeting on Monday 1st of Sept in the Hall at 8.30pm.  Best of luck to all the children going back to school.

THE  PASSION  –  RTE.

Last Easter, the Passion 2014 Group  in Pallasgreen parish recreated The Passion of Our Lord over a 24 hour period, from Holy Thursday to Good Friday, including (in real time) the agony at Gethsemane, the flogging and crown of thorns, and His trial and Crucifixion.The event was recorded by RTE TV and will be shown as part of the ‘Would You Believe’ series on Sunday 14th September at 10:30 pm.
