“Sealed  with  the  Spirit”

Confirmation boys/girls & parents participate in 11.00am Mass this Sunday. They need the support of parish community praying for them.

Please become a Prayer Friend for some one of the girls/boys. Simply add your name/address to the list at the church doors after Masses this weekend; during the week we will assign you some one of the Confirmation Candidates and supply you with a special prayer for them.

Church  Painting

Painting work has begun & will be in full swing this week and next. In the interests of safety the church will be closed on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday until 5.30pm daily – except for morning Masses, 9.30-10.00, & Eve Masses.

Church  Lighting

At Easter-time, the electrical lighting system in the church was found to be hazardous and in need of urgent attention. During the coming weeks the wiring & fittings will be replaced and pendant units renewed. This presents us with an unexpected expense but it has to be done for safety. Fortunately it coincides with the painting

Lough  Derg  Pilgrimage

A 3-day traditional pilgrimage from our diocese Fri 30th June – Sun 2nd July.  Also, a one-day retreat day in Lough Derg, 22nd August.

See poster on church notice board for details.

3rd tips on greener home and gardening cleaning using natural less harmful  products : Ladybirds and hoverflies are great at keeping greenfly and blackfly under control but if they get out of hand, or where plants are heavily infected, use a spray of soapy water.  Eco-friendly washing-up liquid is good for this job because of its natural ingredients.  If you took part in the Bumblebees survey, please return results to Jonas.  Thank you.
