Emigrants’  Collection

Thirty, forty and fifty years ago many Irish people emigrated to England. Not everyone prospered. Some, now in old age, are living in poor conditions and are vulnerable to illness, loneliness & isolation..

The Irish Chaplaincy services strive to help them. Parishes throughout Ireland are asked to assist these services. Please contribute something extra to the Offertory Collection next weekend, for this cause.

Another  Painful  Loss

The disciples had lost Jesus once at his death. Now, with the Ascension they are faced with losing him again – made all the more painful by the joy they had experienced “when he had been at table with them” between Resurrection and Ascension. This is a new turning point for them.

Turning points can make us or mar us. Spare a minute to identify a turning point that ‘made’yo

a happier person or a more convinced disciple.

And give God thanks for that event. Pick out a happening that made you jealous or bitter. Then ask the Lord to turn you in a brighter direction.

Congratulations  and  Blessings

We wish joy and blessings upon the 17 children who received their First Holy Communion last Sunday. And, on behalf the parish Faith community, we express appreciation to every person who assisted their preparation and their growing in Faith.
