St. Ailbe’s National School

As part of our very successful Partnership Schools Ireland initiative, the pupils, staff and school community invite you to our Christmas ‘Choir of Voices’ Mass, celebrated  in St Ailbe’s Church on Tuesday 18th December at 7.00pm.  We
are encouraging the whole community, young, old and everyone in between, to sing and celebrate Christmas together during this special Christmas Community Mass. And you are invited to the Parish Hall afterwards for  ‘tae agus cáca milis’.

SEINN : (“make music”): 500 students from 11 post-primary schools, including St.John Baptist, Hos concert of church music in Thurles Cathedral, Wed 5th Dec., 7.30pm. Adm. free. An uplifting treat!

It’s  Showtime

Emly Variety Players will present  It’s Showtime –promising to be a wonderful evening of top-class entertainment, this Sat & Sun, 1st & 2nd December, in the Parish Hall at 8.00pm..  Not to be missed, Spread the word far and wide.

 

Emly  Bord  na  nÓg

Bord na nÓg  holds its annual Sale of Work and Timber Sale on this  Sunday 2nd of Dec in Byrnes Tavern, after Mass..  Cake Sale and Raffle also.  Support greatly appreciated.

 

Emly  Ladies  Club

Emly  Hospice  Support

Emly Hospice Support Group will hold a Coffee Morning in Cupán Tae on Sunday 23rd December after Mass. All Support would be appreciated.

 

Emly Historical Society

Dr. Martin Mansergh will launch a DVD entitled “Memories of Emly” on Wednesday 19th Dec at 8.00pm in St. Ailbe’s Hall, Emly.  The video was produced locally and was edited by Nicholas Ryan Purcell.  Elder members of the parish talk about all aspects of life in the olden days – very different from life today.  DVDs – just €10 – on sale at the launch. Ideal Christmas gift for those with Emly connection
