A  GATHERING OF

FAITH.

In the words of Pope Benedict in announcing the Year of Faith, ‘Faith grows when it is lived as an experience of love received and when it is communicated as an experience of grace and joy. This is our ultimate hope for the Year of Faith; that many will come to know the love of Christ again, through us and through the life of the Church, as an experience of grace and joy. This is the key to the new Evangelisation.

GOSPEL  REFLECTION

The first of the faults attributed to the rich man is his insensitivity to the abject poverty of those around him The second fault attributed to the rich man is the way he ignored the word of God coming through Moses and the prophets.  Some people look to the spectacular for a sign of God’s presence and action. For Jesus the lessons we need are not to be sought in the spectacular, but in the ordinary things of everyday life.
