GOSPEL  REFLECTION

Jesus was teaching his followers that the path of discipleship would involve pain and suffering. Peter would have none of it. But Jesus knew that because his good news was not acceptable to the authorities he would suffer and die. In spite of this he trusted that the power of God would overcome evil. Jesus promised that those who suffer for the kingdom would be rewarded.

Junior B Football: Eire Og Annacarty defeated Emly on a scoreline of 1:13 to 2:06 in the third round of the junior B Football Championship in Solohead last Saturday evening.

‘Caring For Carers’, Limerick Branch are now taking names for the forthcoming ‘Caring in the Home Course’ which will take place at the Kilmallock Pastoral Centre commencing on Tues, 20th Sept (one eve per week over ten weeks.) MENTAL  HEALTH  ASSOC.

The West Tipperary Mental Health Association and the Friends of Mount Sion Community Residence are hosting a Health Promotion Evening under the heading of ‘Building Resilience Together’ on Wed Aug 31st, at 8pm at Ballykisteen Hotel & Golf Resort. The event will be opened at 8pm by the Tipperary Gospel Choir. Guest Speakers are Presidential Candidate Sean Gallagher, Actress Mary McEvoy, Dr. Alan Moore (Consultant Psychiatrist), Martin Quinn, National President of Muintir na Tire and Dr. Iver Hanrahan (General Practitioner). No admittance charge. Light refreshments will be served.
