From  Hosanna  to  Cross

We can all see ourselves in the Passion. When things are going smoothly for us, it’s easy to praise God and sing ‘Hosanna!’ Other days we struggle, confused, upset — not knowing what God expects of us. When the going gets tough we can even turn our backs on him, lacking the courage to stand up for our beliefs.

This week we are the disciples walking with Jesus, on a journey that leads us to the Cross, and beyond.

Words  from  Pope  Francis

“No family drops dwon from heaven perfectly formed: families need constantly to grow and mature in the ability to love.”

These words are a consolation and a challenge. They console every family that struggles each day with the demands that love makes. They challenge us also to dig a bit deeper in cultivating love in our families. The celebration of Holy Week can inspire us to greater love and self-giving.
