BLOOD  TRANSFUSION  SERVICE

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be holding a Blood donor clinic at Ballykisteen Hotel on Monday 27th Sept from 6pm to 9pm.

‘3000 units of blood are required every week.

1000 people receive blood or a blood product every week.’

West Semi Final Results:

Junior B Football – Golden 1:06 Emly 0:04

Junior A Hurling – Emly 1:10 Lattin/Cullen 1:09

Emly’s Junior hurlers have now qualified for the West Final against Clonoulty/Rossmore and also the County Quarter Final against mid opposition.

Good to see so many locals out training for our 80km sponsored cycle on October 24th. Helmets must be worn. Register with any club officer to participate and get your sponsorship card.

EMLY  BORD  NA  NOG

A Sponsored Walk and Cycle will take place on 24th October. We ask for support and hope many will take part in the event.

The club extends its sympathy to the Joy family on the death of Mrs Pauline Joy.

A committee meeting will be held in the parish hall on Thursday next (21st Sept) at 8.30pm.

Congratulations to the Junior Certificate pupils who received their results during the week.


EMLY  TENNIS  CLUB

Our Adult Open American Tournament will take place on Oct 3rd.

TIDY  TOWN

The Entente Florale winners will be announced in Italy on Friday night next. A group from Emly will be travelling to Italy for the event.

The annual tidy town dance will take place in Byrne’s Tavern on the 16th October.  Tickets are now on sale.
