In Reverse
When we eat food and digest it we transform it to become part and parcel of our bodies. It’s a gradual process. The reverse is true when we receive the Body and Blood of Christ in Holy Communion: it is he who transforms us into himself. This too is a gradual process, built on from week to week, and from year to year.

Tax Rebate
Since 2013, hundreds of parishes have benefited from a Government tax rebate scheme designed to assist charitable bodies. Emly parish has now been given charitable status, eligible for this scheme. (Some neighbouring parishes have benefited in a big way in recent years.)
During the coming week I will write to each parishioner who contributed €250 or more in any one or all of the years 2013, 2014, 2015.
I invite you to complete the enclosed form giving me (on behalf of the parish) permission
to claim from Revenue the 31% rebate on your donation(s) – at no cost or disadvantage to you.
{All will be carried out in strict confidence.}
Once again, I thank you for your financial support of the parish. Bernie Moloney, P.P.
