An  Urgent  Call

St. Patrick, St. Brigid and St. Ailbe are mighty people, from times past. We honour them and

learn from them. But we cannot live in the past. We live in the present time,looking to the future

 

All parishioners are invited – and urged – to come to Ballykisteen Hotel on the coming Thursday, 21st March, at 7.30pm.  To join with Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly and people from our neighbouring parishes to receive the Report from the diocese-wide Listening events that took place in all parishes in 2018.

 

Emly parishioners will, as a group, consider the Report’s findings and then take these on further

 

This is the  beginning of a  new beginning for our  diocese and  parish.  Be part of it!

Emly  Historical  Society

Commemoration of the involvement of the Emly Battalion of the East Limerick Brigade in the War of Independence : Sunday 5th May, afternoon.  Lecture by Dr. Borgonovo, historian, UCC,in St.Ailbe’s Hall  followed by a short ceremony at Emly Monument.  Piper in attendance.  Refreshments after.  Further details to come. Emly  Ladies  Football

Lattin/Emly Junior team opened their league campaign with a win over Gortnahoe-Glengoole in Lattin last Sunday.  Next match is v. Cappawhite

 

Friday 19th : feastday of St.Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He figures in all the panels of the great Rose Window overhead the main doors.
