Excellent Painting Work
Johnstone Paints are major manufacturers of paints for the decorating industry in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Each year they examine the best painting jobs carried out in the previous year by companies using their products. Through several rounds of judging, the numbers are whittled down to a small number of finalists.
We are pleased to say that the work carried out on our parish church in 2017 made it through to the final round of this most prestigious international competition. While we did not win a prize, it was an honour to be among the finalists. We congratulat Tommy Flanagan Painting Company and staff on the excellence of their work at St. Ailbe’s Church.
National Collection for WMOF 2018

Your Family at Croke Park?
Every parish in the country is invited to nominate a family to attend the Festival of Families at Croke Park on Saturday 25th August – Pope Francis will be there. This will be a (music)festival style celebration of family life as lived in various parts of the world.
If you would like your family to represent Emly Parish at this event, please contact Fr. Moloney on or before next Sunday 24th June. Your family group can be up to 6 members, all ages, living in Emly.
Canon Power Exhibition
Canon Maurice Power was the parish priest of Emly who saw to the erection of this splendid church in 1880 – 1883. As part of the Festival in July, we plan to hold an Exhibition in his honour. It will be on view in the parish church, coinciding with the Floral Festival, 12 – 15th July. If you or your family have any item associated with Canon Power, we would be grateful if you would loan it for the Exhibition. Please contact Fr. Moloney during the coming week.
