‘Who do you say that I am?’ Imagine Jesus putting this question to you. How would you answer it? How would you answer it, not in words taken from a catechism or textbook, but from your own experience of the significance of Jesus in your life? What does Jesus mean to you? What does his gospel message mean to you?
EMLY ART CLUB
Are you interested in trying a painting class? There is a free evening for adults in the Parish Hall on Thurs 20th Sept (8pm to 10pm.). You may never have done any art before but would like to try your hand. So come along. All materials will be provided. Just call on the evening.
SET DANCING CLASSES

EMLY TIDY TOWN
Congratulations to the community of Emly on the winning of 5 awards at last Monday’s National Tidy Town Awards function. Congratulations also to Denis Heffernan who won a Supervalu ‘local hero’ award at the event.
ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES
Adult Educ classes will commence in John the Baptist School, Hospital on Mon 8th Oct. Enrolment takes place on Thurs 20th Sept 2-5pm.
The proposed classes are:- Art, Digital Photography, Irish for parents, Occupational First Aid, Yoga.
EMLY TENNIS
Team Sheets and Registration for Adult Tennis Tournament will take place on Mon, 17th Sept at 7.00 p.m. in The Clubhouse. The tournament then commences on Tues night. So please come along to register and collect your team sheets.
Teenage Tennis Tournament every Friday night commencing at 7.00 p.m.
Congratulations to Emly Tidy Towns on their wonderful achievements in the Tidy Towns Competition. The village is absolutely beautiful, a credit to all involved.

Hard Luck to Junior Hurlers who were beaten by Clonoulty-Rossmore in West Semi Final.
The Final Score was 1-17 to 1-13. Emly is nowout of this competition.
Due to unavailability of players, Emly withdrew from All Ireland Sevens last weekend.
Hard Luck to our Minor B Footballers with Sean Treacys who lost the West Final to Clonoulty-Rossmore. The Final Score was 2-14 ro 3-3. Please keep Dogs off the GAA Playing Pitch due to Health and Safety Risk especially for young children.
