We see these letters (from four French words) on invitation cards asking us to send a reply. In the time of Jesus, two rounds of invitations were issued: firstly, when the event was decided on; secondly, when everything was ready and the time for it was ‘now’. In-between-times, the guests could make arrangements to attend.
The parable guests who decline to come are too busy about their work and businesses – too busy
to make time and space for a better option. Thei good interests block out their best interests. We can be so caught up in the affairs of life that we forget the heart of life itself.
Next Sunday, 2nd Oct. Under the slogan : “Reach Out and Spread the Joy.” We are asked to support missionaries in foreign lands, by prayer & donations. Special white envelope in your Offertory Collection box. Please help.
