PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SOULS Ps 130.
I place my trust in the Lord, I am certain of his word.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord hear my voice!
O let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleading.
If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt, Lord, who would survive?
But with you is found forgiveness:
For this I revere you.
My soul is waiting for the Lord more than a watchman for daybreak. Let the watchman count on daybreak and Israel on the Lord.
Israel indeed will he redeem from all its iniquity.
Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

SUNDAY GOSPEL
1 Luke presents Jesus as a prophet, capable of reading the signs of the times, and one who offered wise and insightful advice on how to cope with difficult times.
2 Jesus alerts his listeners to the transitory nature of human grandeur and splendour.
3 In any walk of life troubles will come. Jesus encourages his listeners to stand firm in such ircumstances, telling them ‘your endurance will win you your lives’. The strength and ability to endure?
