A  Prayer  in  Spring

Living God, Source of Life,

our planet teems with creatures of all shapes and sizes, from tiny insects to massive whales.

In Springtime the fields stir with new life:

soil is prepared for the sowing of seeds,

first flowers of the year peep overground,

birds build homes in the shelter of new leaves,

and another generation of farm animals is born.

Lord, keep our eyes open to the wonder of life.

Let us rejoice at the marvel of it all.

Guide us to care for the world around us.

Remind us that we are your pride and joy bringing beauty to the face of the Earth.  Amen
