TRIBUTE – ‘Thanks for the Memories.’

Emly Variety Players held a special tribute night for local actor James Lonergan.  James, for many years now, has played lead roles in dramas, musicals and pantomimes. A video of most of his roles over the past 25 years was shown.  This video, produced by Nora Hennessy brought back many memories and was a fitting tribute to James who has given so much entertainment to many audiences over the years.

FILMING – An RTE film crew were in Emly on Friday morning filming for the ‘Up For The Match’ pre all-Ireland programme which will be screened on RTE next Saturday evening. The village was decked out in the Tipperary colours and looked good.
