The death took place during the week of Martin Lonergan, Lr. Main St., Emly. He is bereaved by his wife, Joan, his daughters Antoinette, Helen, Maria, Samantha and his son Martin (jr.)

Martin for many years was the local postman in Emly. He was a member of Emly parish choir, an organiser of activities for Emly senior citizens and a founder member of Emly tidy town. Martin was stage manager for many productions, musical and plays, for the Emly Variety Players.


The death has also taken place in Chingford, London of Mary Scanlon nee Sheehy formerly of Farran, Emly. She is sister of John Sheehy, Farran. Her funeral will take place in London.
