HOUSE  & GARDEN COMPETITION

Following on the success of last week’s National Tidy Town Awards, the local Emly committee announced the results of the local House &  Garden competition at the annual dance on Saturday last.

The winners were:-

Best House & Garden

Galtee View – John and Ann Martin.

Gort na Manach – John Joe Fahy.

Glen Court – 1) P.J. Lynch

2) Roger Hanley.

St. Ailbe’s Dr – Hartigan Family

 

Best Estate:  Galtee View.

 

Best Hanging Baskets:  English Butcher Shop.

 

Best Business Premises: Byrne’s Tavern

 

Best Over-all Award : Galtee View Estate.

A presentation was made to Padraig Heffernan who finishes this week after completing 3 years as a Fás worker in Emly.
