FILM AWARD
Congratulations to Nicholas Ryan-Purcell, formerly of Emly, who recently won a film award in Kentucky, USA. His short five minute silent film entitled ‘Silent Film’ was shot at Cloughjordan railway station near where Nicholas and his family now lives. It features a cast of three which includes his father Oliver and sister Joanna. Nicholas is studying television and film production at Balluyermot College of Further Education.
Nicholas accompanied by his mother Dorothy attended the award giving ceremony in Kentucky.
TIDY TOWN VISIT.
Through the year members of Emly tidy town committee have been invited to visit many tidy town locations throughout the country. This followed on the offer made after winning the national awards to be of assistance to any tidy town groups who made need it. On Saturday last they visited Ahascragh in Co. Galway.
