My time spent in Emly have given me such pleasant memories, and hope to return next year for a visit with my partner, so I may show him what a pretty little place it is.
I am the daughter of John Mc Eniry born to Annie Riordan and Timothy Mc Eniry Out of the 15 children the only one surviving is Brother Dermott DeSalle Miguel House co Laois who was baptized Michael Mc Eniry. I see a MJ Mc Eniry NJ USA is surching for his relatives. It is possible he is a distant cousin. We come from Emily, clashdrumsmith Co Tipperary, parish Albie

My husband and I have "come back" to retire In Ireland after my grandmother had to leave 100 years ago. She was born in Emly and with the help I was given I will be able to complete a family tree I have been working on. Thank you EMLY.
Congratulations to the Tidy Towns Committee on another great win, and to everyone in Emly thanks for keeping our home village looking so beautiful.
The new website looks lovely; it's a great resource to have to show people where you come from.

Congratulations to Emly on winning the tidiest village in Ireland 2011 today.
My family and I visited Emly in September 2011. My father who is 93 years old, had requested we look for Emly on our trip to Ireland as his Mother's family (Ryan) had emigrated from there in the 19th Century. We took a lot of photos of your pretty town for him. Thank you for the information on the website which has encouraged an interest in our family origins.
Hello Father Seamus Rochford. We are coming on September 5 to Emly. Please email me at my new email address: cmurnanewagner@aol.com.

Hello,
Emly looks to be such a charming place. I think my great-grandfather came from Emly. He was John Heffernan, and we've always thought he was from Tipperary.
There is a John Heffernan, the son of John Heffernan and Mary Bourke who matches our 1827 birthdate. He was baptized in Emly 16 Nov 1827.
I would welcome any information.
Kindest Regards,
Jim Heffernan

Hello!
I am trying to locate anyone connected to William McEniry and Catherine Donovan McEniry. They emigrated from Emly to Troy NY sometime prior to 1862. I appreciate any help.

Dear Father Rochford,
It has been a few years since I posted on the Emly website. My Uncle Cornelius Morgan Griffin wanted me to let you know that his grandson Daniel is currently studying to become a priest in Rome. I thought you would like to know that a "son" of Emly has decided to serve the Lord. I look forward to the day when I can come to Emly to visit. Take care.
Tim
